Ca’ Foscari is looking for an associate professor of Economics, capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.

The position is at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics.

The Department (DAIS) was created after combining three departments (Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics); it is engaged in multidisciplinary research, carried out by brilliant researchers in the fields of environmental systems analysis, management and modelization of environmental and informatic systems, climate studies, complexity, preservation of cultural heritage and sustainability.

The outstanding research activity generates a significant impact on educational activities, as exemplified by the number of programmes we offer such as Environmental Sciences, Informatics, Conservation Science and Technology for Cultural Heritage, as well as a multidisciplinary PhD programme in Science and Management of Climate Change.

The professor will guarantee courses (both in Italian and in English) at the undergraduate, master and PhD levels, mainly (but not exclusively) courses concerning the area of Microeconomics.

The research activity will cover theories and applications of Microeconomics, related to the behaviour of individuals and the evaluation of the impacts on markets (real and financial markets).

The professor will be also involved in managerial and organizational matters of the Department.
