We have been engaged by all major US and UK litigation law firms, governments, and other public-sector entities to assist in numerous high-profile antitrust investigations and private litigation, spanning across several industries and jurisdictions. We have developed innovative modelling techniques for highly complex competition and financial issues, and our work has contributed to a heightened standard of economic evidence in litigation globally, particularly in class action

About our role

The primary purpose of this role is to assume responsibility for the management of a portfolio of economic consulting projects involving market manipulation or anti-trust allegations. The job involves the management of internal resources (economic consultants, data scientists), liaising with external consulting academic experts and being the primary point of contact for clients on each project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing projects and a small team of quantitative analysts
  • Conducting detailed economic and statistical analysis of market manipulation or anti-trust allegations as part of the delivery of Fideres’ consulting mandates
  • Writing comprehensive reports that summarize the key findings of our analysis in a simple, succinct manner
  • Verbally presenting work product to clients in a manner that allows them to understand both the results and how they impact their own clients
  • Maintain up-to-date records in Fideres’s CRM and Project Management systems

The successful candidate will have

  • Proven experience in an economic consultancy dealing with competition economics litigation
  • Experience in managing economic consulting projects
  • Experience of dealing directly with clients: law firms and regulators
  • The ability to write, speak and present on complex issues in simple terms, understandable by those with no financial background
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, and proficiency in python and R
  • MSc in Economics or the equivalent qualification
  • Integrity, and a creative, curious mind
  • An interest in coaching and developing others
