The Department for International Trade (DIT) is an international economic department working across the government with an extensive overseas network to help UK businesses win valuable deals. We support UK businesses to take advantage of the global appetite for British goods and services, as well as to assist international companies to collaborate with UK suppliers.

We are currently looking for talented Economic Advisers to join our Analysis group to in the delivery of the Department’s role in supporting UK Trade.

We have opportunities working in roles such as Head of Economic Appraisal, Market Access, Trade Agreements and Trade Policy Analysis, and Performance Analysis.

These roles will offer opportunities to work closely with colleagues overseas and with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and other Government departments, providing analytical input into the development of the UK’s negotiating mandate, as well as working in close quarters with some of the most senior decision-makers in the Department.

We are looking for people who have significant experience in using and applying economic concepts, have excellent communication skills, and can demonstrate strong leadership in guiding newly formed teams to deliver our strategic and departmental objectives. You will work in an environment where teamwork is encouraged and done well, where your position in your team is valued, and where continuous learning and development are encouraged and supported.
