Economist, Scenario Analysis

Does economic analysis and econometric modelling excite you? Are you an innovative thinker? We’re looking for someone like that who can:

  • keep track of ongoing macroeconomic, political and market developments and perform economic analysis for the identification and assessment of macroeconomic and financial risks
  • design and construct macroeconomic scenarios for business planning and stress testing purposes
  • expand internal and regulatory scenarios using our suite of macroeconomic models
  • support the development and implementation of econometric models for forecasting macroeconomic and financial variables under baseline and stress conditions
  • interact with different teams across UBS for modelling and scenario analysis, and present and defend your work in front of senior management.

Your team

You will be working as part of the global Political and Country Risk - Economic Forecasting and Scenario Analysis team in London (5 Broadgate). • strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure things out)

You are

  • team-oriented but able to complete tasks independently to a high standard
  • a strong communicator, able to clearly explain technical topics to non-technical audience
  • structured, organized, and detail-oriented
  • fluent in English
