Global Risk Analyst

What you will do

As our new Global Risk Analyst you will be working in an ambitious and results-driven team. Part of a small team, reporting to the Global Chief Risk Officer, you will be exposed to a wide range of risk areas, primarily focusing on Operational Risk. Your main responsibility will be analysing, monitoring and reporting on Key Risk Indicators (“KRI”) across all Optiver offices. Next to that you will develop extensive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while supporting global oversight and supervision on control frameworks and incident management processes across all offices. Please note that this position is based in Amsterdam but might require travelling to other offices.

As our new Global Risk Analyst you will be:

• Monitoring and reporting aggregated KRIs to Senior management;
• Investigating incidents and incident management processes in the local offices;
• Supporting the wider Group Risk function with data driven analysis;
• Identifying new trading initiatives and emerging risks within the organisation;
• Exercising supervision and oversight of the Operational Risk departments in all offices;
• Enhancing current reporting and monitoring processes;
• Establishing relationships with internal stakeholders and advise them on several risks.

What you will need to be successful:

• An academic degree preferably in Econometrics, Economics, Finance or equivalent;
• Strong analytical skills;
• 1-3 years of working experience within the financial industry;
• Proficient scripting skills and experience with using Excel VBA and Python or similar;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
• An affinity for financial markets and trading;
• Knowledge of IT processes and Information security (desired, not required).
