The University of Edinburgh’s School of Economics is seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate in the area of economics to the position of Lecturer in Economics. The School has an excellent research reputation and offers high quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in economics. The School is home to ESRC funded grant on the Credit and Labour Market Foundations of the Macroeconomy.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to producing internationally excellent research and delivering high quality teaching that contributes to the development of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and the learning experience of our students. Applicants should have, or be close to completing, a PhD in economics or related field, and have demonstrable potential to publish their research in leading referred journals, contribute to knowledge exchange activities and to secure research income.
