Lecturer in Economics

The Department of Economics is looking for academics with an emerging or proven publication record and proven teaching ability in the areas of macroeconomics and/or finance, with a demonstrable interest in developing their research profile.

We are interested in hearing from you if you can bring insights and personal experiences that are complimentary to the existing strengths and backgrounds in the Department.

We particularly welcome scholars who:

• Have demonstrable research leadership within your specialist area.
• Have leadership qualities that can actively influence the direction of the Department and challenge the team.
• Can bring a strategic approach to the Department in the development of research groups and institutes.

We will particularly welcome someone who can represent the Department in the wider University and promote and represent the University and the discipline nationally and internationally.

You will have:

• An entrepreneurial approach to collaborative research. A global mind-set who can work across boundaries whether this be geographical or disciplinary.
• A relevant PhD (completed or close to completion, or equivalent qualifications/experience).
• An ability to conduct high quality research output for publication in internationally renowned economics journals.
• Proven ability to teach, ideally with a relevant teaching qualification.
• Previous experience of working as a Lecturer of undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
