Opportunities at a Leading Business School

Cardiff Business School is widely regarded as one of the leading business and management schools in the UK, ranked 6th in the UK for the quality of its research in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF). Recruitment is open to a large number of early career appointments across the School’s core areas of activity – Accounting and Finance; Economics; Logistics and Operations Management; Management, Employment and Organization and Marketing and Strategy; in addition to a Chair in Accounting.

Economics: We are interested in applicants from all disciplines within this area, in particular, those within Applied Macroeconomics, Financial Markets and Quantitative Economic History and/or Business History.

For further details of these vacancies please contact Professor Huw Dixon, Head of Economics (DixonH@cardiff.ac.uk).

These posts are full-time (35 hours per week), advertised on an open-ended basis.

£34,304 - £40,927 per annum (Grade 6) or
£43,434 - £50,296 per annum (Grade 7)

Closing date: Wednesday, 8 December 2021

This post has previously been advertised to employees of Cardiff University only. We now invite external applications.

Cardiff University is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity and to creating an inclusive working environment. We believe this can be achieved through attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse range of staff from many different backgrounds who have the ambition to create a University which seeks to fulfil our social, cultural and economic obligation to Cardiff, Wales, and the world. In supporting our employees to achieve a balance between their work and their personal lives, we will also consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements. Cardiff Business School is particularly looking to recruit from under-represented groups within the School.

“Cardiff University is a signatory to the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), which means that in hiring and promotion decisions we will evaluate applicants on the quality of their research, not publication metrics or the identity of the journal in which the research is published.
