Formed in 2002 through the bringing together of a number of well-established departments and research groups in the University of Liverpool, the School provides a world-leading environment for research, and management and leadership education. Over the last four years, ULMS has engaged in extensive recruitment of academic and professional services staff, expanding into a state-of-the-art extension, including a trading room. The Economics Subject Group is seeking to appoint up to two Postdoctoral Research Associates (PDRAs), working either in the area of Macroeconomics, Econometrics or Micro Theory.
As a PDRA, you will:
- Carry out research of a world leading standard in your area of expertise;
- Present your research at international conferences;
- Disseminate it through policy-oriented platforms;
- Prepare papers for submission to world leading journals (65% of your time).
- Contribute to administrative research activities of the Group such as organizing workshops and reading groups (5%).
- Contribute to teaching on our Economics and Business Economics programmes (30%)
You will possess a PhD (or be close to completion) in any relevant area of Economics.
You will be able to articulate a clear plan of research that is consistent with future publication in world leading journals. You will also be an inspiring teacher and have excellent interpersonal skills.
The Economics Group offers an active and engaging research environment and the successful candidate is expected to be present on-site in our Liverpool campus to fully contribute to the environment.
