The AECOM office in Dublin has an established track record of successfully delivering transportation projects throughout Ireland, as well as internationally, in both the urban and rural environment.

Our Transport practice in Dublin includes a team of economists that provides consultancy services to a range of clients in Ireland and the EU as a whole. This consultancy team currently has a vacancy for a Principal Economic Consultant with academic training in and, ideally, experience of economic analysis and research. We are now looking to enhance and grow this team with individuals with a sound technical background that share our enthusiasm and determination to support our expanding workload and assist in growing the business further.

The team provides economic input into transportation projects, for example by providing forecasts of parameters such as income and employment to colleagues carrying out transport modelling or carrying our economic and financial appraisal of proposed investments for feasibility studies. The team is also involved in the evaluation of spending programmes in the areas of transport and other infrastructure, and economic advice to policymakers in the field of transport and energy and more widely. The team also provides economic analysis and advice in wider policy issues to private and public sector clients.

Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of Irish and European studies. A selection of our current and recent projects includes:
