We are seeking a Researcher in Health Economics to join the NPEU. This full-time post (part-time considered, 80% FTE minimum) is funded by a consortium of externally funded research grants until 31 January 2021, in the first instance, and is based at the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit, Old Road Campus, University of Oxford.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to work on a number of applied economic analyses in maternal and child health that will use large and complex administrative datasets. You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative duties including the design and conduct of the data analyses, interpretation of findings, and dissemination of results through peer-reviewed publications and presentations. The successful candidate will be supported to consolidate and further develop their research and analytic skills.

To be considered for this post you will have a PhD/DPhil or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (e.g. statistics, mathematics, economics, epidemiology or another quantitative discipline), research experience in health economics and good programming and data analysis skills (e.g. in Stata, R, Excel). Strong communication and time-management skills are also essential for this role.
