Locations: Croydon, Manchester, Sheffield. We operate a hybrid working model and fully support flexibility, with colleagues already based across the UK working from home and linked to one of our core locations in Croydon, Sheffield, or Manchester.

Develop the tech at the heart of everyday life.

For a business analyst, the Home Office offers projects with the scale and complexity to challenge any level of expertise. In turn, you’ll gain experience of working on some of the most high-profile projects out there, on services that can impact the daily lives of millions of people.

The Home Office works to build a safe, fair and prosperous UK. We achieve this through our work on counter-terrorism, policing, fire, crime, drugs policy, immigration and passports.

Home Office Digital, Data and Technology teams design, build and develop the services that enable the department to achieve its goals, from helping people apply for visas to supporting policing and counter-terrorism operations through to protecting the UK’s borders.

The role

As Senior Business Analyst you will take the lead on small to medium sized projects, or be part of a team of analysts working on larger, more complex projects. You will help to advance the Business Analysis community through sharing of best practice and mentoring others.

As well as recommending improvements and solutions, there’ll also be opportunities to support product iteration, evolution and optimisation activities. And naturally, we’ll look for you to develop close ties with stakeholders of all levels – internal and external – and ensure everything you do aligns with our business strategy.

About you

Ideally, you’ll have a background in technology and a BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, or equivalent experience. However, it’s your record of championing analysis and managing change that will set you apart. You’ll enjoy building strong networks among technical and non-technical colleagues and – as an inspirational communicator and critical thinker – have the gravitas to ensure we arrive at the best possible solution every time.

With technology continuing to evolve at pace, this is a role where you’ll rarely stand still. Moreover, we offer the kind of development and further opportunities to keep you engaged for years to come.

As well as a competitive starting salary, we offer Civil Service Pensions with employer contribution rates starting at 26.6%, 25 days annual leave, rising with service, flexible working, as well as a range of other brilliant benefits.
