St Catharine’s College in the University of Cambridge invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a Teaching and Research Fellowship in Economics. The Fellowship is tenable for four years from a date no later than 1 September 2023. The Fellowship is likely to be of particular interest to early-career scholars, and is intended to enable the post-holder to devote substantial time to research while also contributing to the teaching of Economics in the College. The post-holder is thus expected to be research active.
The post-holder will be required to undertake eight hours of small-group College teaching per week during Terms; and may be required to assume the role of Directors of Studies in Economics. Applications are encouraged from candidates specialising in any field of economics, but candidates must be able to teach one or more of microeconomics, macroeconomics, or econometrics in the Cambridge Economics Tripos, the University’s undergraduate Economics course.
It is likely that the post-holder will be elected to an Official Fellowship of the College, which carries a range of benefits and responsibilities. Remuneration will be at point 38 on the University of Cambridge’s pay scale (currently £32,411). There may also be opportunities to contribute to teaching programmes in the Faculty of Economics, which would be separately remunerated.
Further details on this opportunity including Further Particulars and application arrangements can be found on our website: www.caths.cam.ac.uk/about-us/vacancies/teaching-and-research-fellow-economics-0
The closing date (for the receipt of both applications and references) is Monday 12th June 2023 at 12 noon.
