WonderDays, a brand new experience day company offering a revolutionary flexible booking experience, came to us looking for a data analyst to help with their ongoing evaluations of the gift experience sector-a market valued at over £300 million in the UK.

They needed someone with an extensive knowledge of analysis within the paid advertising market including Google and Microsoft whilst being flexible with working hours in a hybrid working from home model.

WonderDays launched in the UK in May 2022 after almost three years in development, from a team that has been in the experience days market for almost 30 years offering hot air balloon rides from the UK’s biggest provider. This knowledge enabled the team to really identify pain points the customers encounter when in the buying process and it meant that this new business model was able to build and evolve from this information.

The creators wanted to create the most flexible and user-friendly way for people to buy their perfect experience day whilst ensuring suppliers providing those experiences get the best out of any partnership.

The team knew they could build a unique company that offered a top level products for both customer and providers having both sold experiences directly to customers and been the provider of an experience sold through third parties.

The statistics gleaned from this previous work proved invaluable in the creation process as they knew the data sets and data points that needed to be analysed.

As well as flexibility and ease of use, another core purpose of WonderDays was to be a disruptor to the experience gift market with their exchangeable vouchers. Unique features such as the ability to extend vouchers or exchange something else online should the recipient not like the experience that was originally chosen and choosing your own delivery date means they have really shaken up the experience day industry.

The WonderDays website is a bespoke build, designed from the ground up for both a seamless buying and supplier experience. Instead of searching ‘afternoon tea’ and seeing multiple different products of the same thing for one person, two or four for example, WonderDays simplifies it with one single experience and you choose how many you want it for.

Other small but important differences, such as the vouchers having a QR code that auto-fills information to activate it plus selections and search that have the fastest and most responsive load times in the industry really make them stand out from the crowd in this category.
