Working at Ofgem really isn’t like anywhere else. Where else could your contribution make a difference to the lives of every household and business in the country? What’s more, we have a great benefits package on offer, flexible working arrangements, a commitment to training and development, and if you join us you’ll be based at one of our new state-of-the-art offices. And it isn’t just about your next job – at Ofgem there is both scale and diversity of opportunity, so think of it as a career move. How far you go is up to you.

Right now, we have a number of opportunities for Analysts to be part of our Systems and Networks team, which takes an end-to-end view of the energy system and works to influence markets, network companies and institutions to get a better deal for customers. You can expect to be deeply involved in reviewing policy options and making evidence based recommendations, which you will then present in briefing and board papers, as well as drafting materials for an external audience. Key requirements for the roles include an analytical mind, a sharp eye for detail and a well organised approach to managing competing priorities.

Ofgem is a lively and professionally rewarding place to work. Your personal style and characteristics are as important as your professional qualifications and experience. We work well as a team, and we’d like to invite you to get a taster in person. Come along to one of our Recruitment Open Evenings that are taking place in Glasgow on 20th June and London on 21st June. You’ll have the chance to meet people like you who are doing the job, as well as some of the managers that you would report into. Register here to attend

We are looking to recruit a number of Analysts for current vacancies, but there will also be an opportunity to join our talent pool for subsequent positions over the next 3-6 months.
