At Pixalate, we are building technology products for a trustworthy, privacy compliant, and safe supply chain for Connected TV and Mobile advertising.

We are looking for a Chief Economist to join Team Pixalate and lead our insights and research think tank responsible for conducting studies mainly on the 200 billion+ US and global advertising market.

This is a completely new role focused on the intersection of advertising, economics, and financial markets addressing a wide variety of clients, including internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll do:

  • Develop the strategic roadmap, research reports, industry indices, and insights focused on the future of CTV and Mobile Advertising
  • Lead research projects by using Pixalate’s proprietary data using data analysis, exploration, data visualization, and clear writing
  • Provide regular commentary on published reports to the media, conferences, panels, and industry groups
  • Work with Product and Data Science to create new industry indexes and world-leading products
  • Provide regular commentary on the digital advertising economy, including global and regional ad spend, latest and emerging trends, publicly-traded ad companies, and other high-profile data releases.
  • Deliver impactful keynote speeches to financial institutions, media, and internal audiences about the future of digital advertising, trends, and insights
  • Formulating forecasts, reports, and keynotes on the future of digital advertising
  • Preparing analytical reports for internal and external distribution.
  • Collaborate with our client services, sales, and marketing teams to identify unique areas of insight and serve as a resource for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide research support and commentary to the CEO.

Preferred qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. (preferred) or Masters graduate in economics/finance or highly quantitative field
  • 2-5 years of professional writing and quantitative research experience in the field of economics, finance, consulting, or economic policy
  • Extensive experience with statistical economic analysis
  • Experience with python, R, SQL, or similar language
  • Expert in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proven record of public speaking, working with media, participating in webinars and industry group panels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate well with people at all levels of an organization both internally and externally, both written and verbally
  • Experience in planning, composing, evangelizing, and writing research reports
  • Knowledge of the digital advertising industry is a huge plus
