The Role

We seek to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Economics (T&R) or (T&S) who can contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and who are committed to the success and development of Newcastle University Business School. Individuals with research and scholarly interests in the Future of Work and developing future leaders, who care about nurturing academic colleagues and students to reach their potential and who connect with organisations are encouraged to apply.

For the T&R route, you must have a PhD in a related area and the ability to: secure external research funding, publish in internationally recognized journals and conduct research with the potential to create impact. You will be able to demonstrate research excellence/potential as evidenced by high quality publications and excellence in education and teaching. We particularly welcome applicants with research interests in macroeconomics, labour, health and urban economics and in applied econometrics (machine learning/data science). For the T&S route, you will need a relevant professional qualification, the demonstrated capacity to lead, manage and deliver outstanding teaching and management of programmes in higher education, contribute scholarly outputs and educational citizenship in the School.
