The Department of Economics at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) seeks to recruit a full-time Professor in Economics. This appointment aims to further strengthen the academic excellence and reputation of the Department and extend its research activities. The post is open to any sub discipline of Economics, with a preference for candidates whose research interests complement existing strengths in the department – labour, education, development and health economics, macroeconomics and monetary economics, industrial organisation and economic theory, political economy and international trade. The successful candidate for this Chair position will have the opportunity to build a research team through the appointment of a linked lectureship and PhD student, or through an equivalent research development package.
