We have a fantastic opportunity, that has become available within our Research and Insight team. The key role of the Research & Insight Analyst is to help deliver an impactful research programme that influences public policy, delivers thought-leadership and improves the way Peabody delivers services through actionable insight, the post-holder would contribute to this commitment through the production of new research that helps us to understand our residents’ experiences, influence policy and make operational improvements.

Skills/Experience required:

The role requires excellent analytical & communication skills, both written and verbal, with the natural ability to network and build effective relationships with key colleagues across the organisation. In detail, the requirements are:

  • Strong understanding and experience of applying a range of research methodologies (both quantitative and qualitative techniques).
  • Understanding of analysis techniques for interpreting research findings
  • Ability to use statistical software (such as R, SPSS or Excel statistical package) and statistical tools in a social research setting.
  • Knowledge and passion for housing and related policy matters.
  • Ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgement.
  • Ability to synthesise complex information and explain technical aspects of research to a lay audience
  • Experience of using desk-based research to produce high quality outputs
  • Experience of and aptitude for working constructively in a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail in written work
  • Time management and prioritisation skills and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Experience and ability to deliver excellent customer care and valuing diversity
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets.
  • Understanding of project management and research contracts
  • Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to liaise with the senior leadership team.
  • Ability to use evidence to inform policy development and service improvement
  • Ability to think creatively when faced with problems and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Understanding of the GDPR and the MRS Code of Conduct
  • Comfortable working with complex sets of data and ambiguous research briefs

Qualifications required:

  • Educated to degree level in a social science/research related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • A post-graduate research or public policy qualification would be desirable.
