The Nuffield Department of Population Health contains world renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. Based within NDPH, the Health Economics Research Centre (HERC) is a thriving group of health economists/analysts, with a varied research programme and a well-established reputation as a centre of excellence.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to work on applied economic analyses aimed at analysing anxiety in childhood, using a variety of statistical/econometrics approaches. The key responsibilities will include reviewing and summarising literature, analysing UK complex longitudinal birth cohort studies (e.g. MCS, ALSPAC), interpreting results, contributing to publications and presentations. The successful candidate will be supported to consolidate and further develop their research and analytic skills.

To be considered for this post you will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. health economics/economics, statistics, epidemiology or other quantitative discipline), research experience in health economics and good programming and data analysis skills (e.g. in Stata, R). Strong communication and time management skills are also essential for this role.

Informal enquires should be addressed to Dr Mara Violato (mara.violato@dph.ox.ac.uk).

The post is full-time (although part-time considered) and fixed-term for 2 years in the first instance.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 29 November 2019.
