We are seeking to recruit a Senior Lecturer in Economics. Applications are particularly sought from candidates with experience of teaching intermediate-level Macroeconomics or Microeconomics and/or Finance-related modules. As Senior Lecturer, you will support programme development and undertake module leadership, as well as contribute to the school's research and/or knowledge exchange agenda.

Our research and knowledge exchange activities are organised in the Centre for Business, Society and Global Challenges. This Centre focuses on four research areas: sustainability and social justice; communities, entrepreneurship and innovation; globalisation, digitalisation and work; and money, inequality and markets. We expect successful candidates will contribute to one or more of these research areas. As a Senior Lecturer in Economics you will be:

  • Developing, leading and delivering modules in the field of Economics, some of which will be for students studying off-campus;
  • Supervising and assessing students¿ projects and dissertations;
  • Addressing the pastoral needs of students;
  • Undertaking research leading to international quality publications, or knowledge exchange activities;
  • Initiating and sustaining mutually beneficial partnerships with external stakeholders.
