Senior Manager - Global Customer Strategy and Economics

Hotels.com, an Expedia Group company, is looking for extraordinary talent to join its Customer Marketing Team and support the Business in moving towards a more customer centric operating model.

You will champion and lead the embedding of ‘Customer Economics’, educating the business on Acquisition and Retention performance and helping to craft a strategy that will improve the long-term health of our customer base. Act as the voice of the consumer and be responsible for synthesising customers insights to drive innovation, business strategy and tactics across our strategic projects.

Working closely with Acquisition Marketing and Customer Marketing & Loyalty, your responsibilities will include better understanding the drivers of Acquisition and Customer long-term value (in particular identifying efficient internal levers) and sharing actionable customer behavioural insight and levers with the leadership team.

You will lead the design of actionable customer level segmentations, working closely with cutting edge data science techniques and driving adoption across the business.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • good analytical technical skills and/or ability and willingness to ramp up very quickly
  • strong commercial acumen and the ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly
  • excellent presentation skills and comfortable presenting a story to senior leaders
  • excellent project and partners management skills
  • ability to perform in a high-pressure, dynamic environment
  • high energy and can-do attitude
  • curiosity and real passion for making an impact
  • excellent logical thinking, a very strong background in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, physics, engineering, operations research, data science or similar
  • project management experience, working with technical/quantitative experts
  • understanding of digital marketing strategy and platforms
  • ability to determine tangible actions and drive delivery through a cross functional marketing team
  • experience crafting and working with customer level segmentations

Experience

  • Experience in a marketing strategy or analytics driven company
  • Degree in a relevant subject matter / MBA
  • SQL / R knowledge would be beneficial
