About the role
The Policy Fellow in Healthcare Data will be responsible for delivering a project on healthcare data and cyber security in a state in India. It will involve travel to India and the chance to work collaboratively with Indian colleagues.
What you would be doing
The main project this post holder will deliver consists of conducting healthcare data and cybersecurity assessments in a state in India. This will involve:
- Familiarising themselves quickly with the methodology to carry out the healthcare data and cybersecurity assessments
- Traveling to India within the first month of joining the team to conduct interviews and gather data to complete healthcare data and cybersecurity assessments, accompanied by a team from Imperial and the project funder.
- Establish and sustain good working relationship with the funder (World Bank), leading regular meetings to share progress against milestones.
- Working closely with the CHP’s Director of Policy and Analysis, IGHI’s Lead for Digital Health, IGHI’s Lead for Artificial Intelligence, and additional collaborators as needed, to draft, review and complete deliverables as per funder timelines.
There will also be the opportunity to work on other data and cyber security related projects.

- The post holder will be expected to coordinate the research, policy, and engagement activities associated with this project. They will lead the requisite background research, refine the project plan if required, support analysis interpretation and lead the write-up of activities in line with project deliverables.
- The Policy Fellow must have excellent communication skills – both verbally and through their written work, be self-motivated and have a high level of engagement to develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs.
