The Centre for Health Economics (CHE) at the University of York is seeking to appoint two Research Fellows (at Grade 6 or 7) within the Health Policy team on a full-time open contract (part-time applications will also be considered with a minimum of 0.8 FTE).

The successful applicants will contribute to our existing portfolio of research projects, conducting economic analysis to evaluate policies at the intersection of demand for and supply of health and social care. In particular, one Research Fellow will contribute to research on emergency care in rural and coastal areas in England, and another will contribute to an evaluation of employment advisers in supporting individuals with mental health problems to start, stay in, or return to work. The Research Fellows will also contribute to other projects in health, social and mental health policy.

The Research Fellows will be based in the CHE, one of the world’s most prominent academic health economics research centres. For over forty years we have been committed to the development and application of economics to promote health and well-being through the effective, efficient, and equitable use of scarce resources. We are a community of over 100 research staff, support staff, and PhD students. We provide a positive, flexible and supportive working environment, with an inclusive and friendly ethos, where diversity is recognised, valued and celebrated.
