To effectively demonstrate and communicate the value of an allocated product portfolio to national payers thereby removing barriers to market access, via a proactive in-house approach to Health Economics.
Accountabilities
- Leads the development, review and refinement of UK/Ireland National Market Access Plans for BI products in collaboration with various internal stakeholders
- Recommends the optimal HTA strategy and leads all aspects of the HTA process for allocated products in UK/Ireland, a business critical process for achieving market access
- Demonstrates Centre Of Excellence behaviours by providing leading input to, and adaptation of (where appropriate), Corporate HEOR materials ensuring they are fit-for-purpose and relevant to the UK/Ireland setting and the ABPI code of practice. Commissioning and managing large projects with third-party vendors and both internal and external stakeholders. Fosters the in-house development and training of other BI health economists.
- Takes a prominent role in cross-functional Franchise teams and is a recognised authority, ensuring that Market Access is integral to brand strategy and tactics
- Proactively produces and disseminates high quality materials that communicate the value of BI products to national payers.
- Ensures that relevant payer materials are used appropriately by the cross-functional teams incl outcomes research colleagues, trains less experienced HEOR colleagues. Proactively collaborates with Medical and Scientific Affairs, and Senior management to market access issues
- Timely and accurate delivery of horizon scanning information on pipeline products. Ensuring Market Access input during early stage product development and assessment
Requirements
- At least MSc in Health Economics or equivalent discipline
- Good working knowledge and practical experience of all methods of economic evaluation the requirements and processes of HTA bodies including NICE and the SMC
- UK and Ireland market access barriers
