This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to play a leading role in one of Ofgem's highest-profile policy programmes, helping shape the future of how energy system costs are allocated and recovered across Great Britain.
You'll be joining a fast-paced project with regular exposure to senior leaders across Ofgem, Government and industry, where your expertise will directly inform nationally significant policy decisions. Working alongside a supportive and collaborative team, you'll help tackle complex challenges with clear links to Ofgem's long-term strategic vision and the potential to deliver meaningful benefits for consumers.
Job description
We're looking for someone with strong policy and regulatory skills, alongside an understanding of the GB energy system and the economics of investment. You'll also bring experience managing delivery, the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to a range of audiences, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external partners. Knowledge of electricity network charging, energy markets or related regulated sectors will put you in a strong position to succeed.
What's more, you'll operate at the centre of one of Ofgem's most strategically important policy programmes, and have the chance to apply your expertise to complex issues with far-reaching implications for consumers, industry and the future of the energy sector.
We have a critical purpose to ensure the costs of Great Britain's energy system are recovered fairly, efficiently and in a way that supports consumers and the transition to Net Zero. Join us and help shape the policies that will support that mission.
