As a workplace, we are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. IIPP brings together an interdisciplinary group of cutting-edge academics and practitioners to influence global policy decisions and create new policy collaborations to deliver public value-driven innovations. Our mission is to change how public value is imagined, practised and evaluated to tackle societal challenges—and, by doing this, to deliver economic growth that is innovation-led, sustainable, and inclusive.

About the role

Strategic Economics Alliance (SEA) aims to create a stronger link between new economic theory and new practice by elevating new voices, particularly those of women economists who have been advancing new economic thinking within global south contexts. It will also present opportunities where global leaders taking a stand on what needs to happen in the global economy can share real policy implications with economists and where the new scholar voices can be listened to, valued and reflected in policy in a bidirectional shared learning process. We may close the advert early if we receive a high volume of applications.

About you

Manage and further develop IIPP’s existing research stream of new economic thinking around industrial strategy, green finance, new development theories, and other. Countries of focus will include low- and middle-income countries in the Global South. Specific activities will include generating and recording impact; ensuring connections between research and policy are fostered within and outside IIPP; contributing to the work of IIPP PhD students and researchers relevant to these topics; and writing annual reports. Identify opportunities for and lead the setting up of research and policy projects. Please see job description.
